I saw a commercial (Why do all my posts lately come from TV?) for the AMEX Plum Card. The featured company was a place called Music Direct. Out of curiosity, I checked their website. After all, I like audio gear.

I looked at the site and saw they carried both CDs and electronics. Both high-end. Cool!

Then I looked towards the bottom of the page, under “featured hardware” and saw these. At first, I thought they looked like old ceramic insulators, like you’d find on telegraph poles.

but compared to last week, I feel great. It’s probably only average, on the feel-O-meter in the long run, but I was so sick the past four or five days, it becomes superlative by comparison.

I know some of you who read this page have heard of the Win An MRI contest that Lockport Memorial Hospital was entering.

The contest was sponsored by Siemens who wanted to promote their MRI by giving one away to a hospital that really needed one but probably couldn’t afford it. Their idea was to have each hospital submit a short video telling why they should be given one. Then people could watch the video online and vote for the hospital they thought should win. Why do PC users hate Mac users? Is it the Mac people’s smug self-righteous attitude that they must know better than 95% of the computer users? Is it because they think they are Sooooo…. smart for choosing an overpriced piece of artsy hardware? Or is it because the PC users are tired of being told how easy it is to use a Mac (fallacy) and that PC’s are so hard to use, never work right, and are always crashing?

Well, if a Mac is so easy to use; if anyone can fire up a Mac and do anything, why do I always have to look at web pages where they can’t get a friggin’ apostrophe right?
