Is this a church? Or a Castle? To those in the know about Lockport architecture, it’s one-of-a-kind, with a rich story, both successful and tragic.
Second photo: This marker is found nearby. If you know what it is, it will be a clue to the building’s history.
Click on either photo for a giveaway clue to the mystery building.
Yesterday’s photo: Was the Children’s Memorial Garden which can be found in the triangular block at Transit Street, Lincoln Ave. and Summit Streets. Everyone in Lockport goes by this, almost every day, but I’ll bet most people have never stopped to see it close up. What a shame!
Is the first one the old train station? I forget what street it’s on, but it looks like the building near where we got on the Lockport-Medina train ride a few years ago…
Anyone who is a geocacher in the area would have known yesterday’s picture. I did 🙂
I love that you are doing these Walkabout pictures – they are fun to figure out!
You are right about the Willow Street Cannon, I have seen it listed as a Geocache location, although, I have never found the cache. But I didn’t need a GPS to know where it was anyway.
I didn’t find the cache at the cannon either, but I did at the Children’s Memorial Garden 😀
