Is it just me, but I’ve always found these club disk jockeys who think they are hot stuff a bit pretentious by putting “DJ” in front of their name?

DJ This, DJ That. DJ-I-Have-No-Original-Thought-In-My-Head,-So-I-Remix-Other-Peoples-Music. DJ I-Can’t-Play-A-Real-Instrument.

Come on, if you’re that good, people will remember you without needing to remind them what you do by sticking those two letters in front of your name.

I’m not denying there are good or even great DJs out there. I enjoy a good mash up. But get an identity. The DJ-prefix is a crutch.
