I feel like this is a Twitter post – short and sweet about where I am and what I’m doing. But there isn’t much more than that to report.
Today is Al’s first scheduled visit back to the hospital since he was discharged. He’s got labwork and an X-Ray, plus a visit to the clinic that oversees his condition.
So, we rose early this morning after watching the Bills lose last night, and rode the shuttle bus to the hospital. Al is off doing what he has to do. I went to the cafeteria for breakfast. I’ve been eating cereal at the house, but some hot food seemed like a good change. So I had a western omelet.
I’m not a breakfast eater, but I’ve been eating a small breakfast just so I can last until whenever I get the next meal. I’m happy with two meals a day, as long as they are enough. Breakfast is usually the meal I skip.
But I’m sitting here, full and happy and I saved a box of cereal for another day.
Last night, I sat in front of the big screen TV at the Family House and watched the Bills on Monday Night Football. For most of the game I was the only one watching. I guess most people had things to early today and went off to their rooms early. But Al was watching some other shows in our room, so I had to watch the game elsewhere. It was a good game up until the end. Coming back from a 13-point deficit, only to lose by a point and miss a field goal that could have won it, was a disappointing end.
Well, I guess I can wait until Thursday and cheer for the Steelers.
Or Friday and cheer for UB!
